El hospital de Plottier se llamará “Dr. Alberto Herrera”

El hospital de Plottier llevará el nombre de “Dr. Alberto Herrera”, reconocido médico neuquino que trabajó en la institución a partir de 1965 y, luego de una extensa trayectoria en cargos sanitarios y públicos, volvió para retirarse en 1991.
La iniciativa de ley pertenece al diputado Carlos Coggiola (DC) y recuerda en sus fundamentos que Herrera también conformó la comisión que desarrolló el plan para dotar a la localidad de una Cooperativa de Agua Potable, fue elegido intendente de la ciudad entre 1983 y 1987 y en 1980 ejerció como Director de Atención Médica y Jefe del Programa Maternidad-Infancia de la Provincia del Neuquén.
“Se trató de un hombre que luchó por mejorar la calidad de vida de sus semejantes y que, con su actuación, ha demostrado una verdadera vocación de servicio para toda la comunidad”, destaca la iniciativa.
Herrera llegó al hospital de Plottier el 7 de Julio de 1965 cuando la localidad contaba con una población estable de aproximadamente 1200 habitantes, momento en el cual el nosocomio contaba con 7 camas de internación, sala de partos, consultorio externo y consultorio odontológico, administración, cocina y despensa; institución a la que retorna en 1991 para jubilarse como médico de planta. Herrera fue además intendente de la localidad en la vuelta de la Democracia y uno de los fundadores de la Cooperativa de Agua.
El proyecto (13488) ingresó por Mesa de Entradas el 13 de julio con la firma del diputado Carlos Coggiola (DC), tras de haber sido presentada esta propuesta catorce años atrás por Fernando Freire
